Medha Shankr has become a household name since she made an appearance in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail alongside Vikrant Massey. Her portrayal as IRS officer Shraddha Joshi has won the hearts of the audience across the nation. The actress made her debut in acting with a British miniseries Beecham House in the year 2019 and made her Hindi film debut with the 2021 film Shaadisthan.

Medha was born in Mumbai but at the age of two, she moved to Delhi and now her family lives in Noida. Talking about her family, Medha revealed, “My father is from IIT Roorkee. He’s an engineer. My mom was a homemaker. My brother has done his engineering and his master's from IISC Bangalore. He's an entrepreneur in Bangalore. So yeah, my family's academically inclined. My grandfather was a professor. Dadi was a teacher. So, you can imagine my father's reaction when I told him I wanted to become an actor, he was like - you’ve lost your mind,” recalls Medha.
